HP ENVY 5660 e-All-in-One Printer

My HP ENVY 5660 will only print blank pages. I have gone through the printer maintenance options (align printer & all 3 cartridge cleaning processes) as well as manually cleaned the ink cartridge myself. There was ink in the cartridge when I cleaned it and the printer is detecting ink in the cartridges. When checking updates, the printer says that it is fully up to date. I have restarted the printer and factory reset it. However, all printouts are still completely blank.

Hi @CJ12341234

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you've already gone through several troubleshooting steps with your HP ENVY 5660, but the issue with blank pages persists. Here are a few additional steps you can try to fix the problem:

1. Check the Ink Cartridges

Even though you've confirmed that there is ink in the cartridges, it’s important to double-check that the cartridges are properly installed. Here’s what to do:

  • Remove the cartridges and gently wipe the copper-colored contacts on the cartridges and in the printer (using a lint-free cloth).
  • Reinstall the cartridges and ensure they click into place properly.

Sometimes, poor contact between the cartridge and the printer can cause printing issues, even if the printer is detecting the ink.

2. Check the Ink Levels

Although you've mentioned that the printer detects ink, it’s still worth checking the ink levels via the printer’s control panel or the HP Smart App to make sure that the cartridges aren't running low.

  • Open the HP Smart App (or use the printer’s display) and check the ink levels.
  • If one of the cartridges is low or empty, replace it.

3. Print a Printer Diagnostic Page

You may want to print a diagnostic or test page to help identify any printhead issues. The diagnostic page will help verify if the printer is having trouble with its printhead.

  • Go to Settings > Printer Maintenance > Print a Printer Diagnostic Page (or a similar option depending on your printer model).

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
