Hi @LNHill,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're experiencing issues with the color printing option on your HP Envy 6000 when using applications on a Mac running Monterey, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.
- Check Printer Settings in the Application: Ensure that you have selected the color printing option within the application you are using to print. Sometimes, applications have specific print settings that need to be configured.
- Printer Preferences: Access the printer preferences on your Mac. To do this, go to "System Preferences" > "Printers & Scanners," select your HP Envy 6000, and click on "Options & Supplies." Check for any settings related to color printing and ensure they are configured correctly.
- Driver Update: Make sure that you have the latest printer driver installed on your Mac. Visit the official HP website, search for your printer model, and download the latest driver for macOS Monterey.
- Reset Printing System: If the issue persists, you can try resetting the printing system on your Mac. This will remove all printers and scanners from the list, and you'll need to add them again. To do this, go to "System Preferences" > "Printers & Scanners," right-click on the list of printers, and choose "Reset printing system." Then, re-add your HP Envy 6000.
- Check Color Settings on Mac: Ensure that your Mac's color settings are configured correctly. Go to "System Preferences" > "Displays" > "Color," and make sure the correct color profile is selected.
- Check Ink Levels: Verify that there is sufficient ink in the color cartridges of your HP Envy 6000. Low ink levels may affect color printing.
- Print a Test Page: Print a test page directly from your Mac to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is specific to certain applications.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
