My HP Envy 6052e suddenly stopped printing correctly. I've cleaned the printheads 4 times total now, and have cleaned the ink smears, and am using basically new HP ink cartages. I've never had an issue like this before now, and all of the tests have done nothing to solve this. Please help! Attached a picture of a printing test for reference.

Hi @NirdBird42,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you've already done some great troubleshooting, but the issue might still persist due to a few other underlying causes. Here are a few additional steps you can try.
Check for Firmware Updates: Sometimes, printers have bugs that can affect print quality, and a firmware update may resolve this. Visit the HP support website and check for any updates for your HP Envy 6052e.
Printer Reset: Perform a reset of your printer to clear any potential software glitches that might be causing print quality issues.
- Turn off the printer.
- Unplug the printer’s power cord from the outlet.
- Wait 60 seconds.
- Plug the printer back in and power it on.
Check for Clogged Nozzles: Even after cleaning, if the printheads aren’t fully cleared, you may still experience poor-quality prints. Run a nozzle check and perform deep cleaning if needed:
- Open the printer software on your computer.
- Go to the "Printer Maintenance" or similar section.
- Select “Clean Printhead” or “Deep Clean” and follow the instructions.
Check the Ink Cartridges:
- Even though your ink cartridges are new, double-check if they are properly installed and that no protective tape or other obstacles are obstructing ink flow.
- Try re-seating the cartridges.
Paper Quality: Sometimes, the type of paper being used can affect print quality. Ensure you are using the recommended paper type for your prints.
Print Test Page: Try printing another test page (this can be done through the printer's menu or via your computer's printer settings). Check for any issues with specific colors or areas.
Software Settings: Check the print quality settings in your printer software. If it's set to draft or low quality, change it to a higher setting for better results
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
