Completely stopped printing my output - from dark inked printing to blank pages. It successfully prints HP test pages and HP status/info pages fine. The copy function prints copied pages just fine. Printer is connected to my desktop via E'net. I've reloaded to factory settings twice. I've powered everything up and down a couple times. I've run the HP Print and Scan Doctor with no helps provided. I've searched through settings (although I hadn't changed anything) and all seem fine. I'm running on Win 11 Home, Version 23H2, OS build 22631.5189. I tried with and without my VPN running. I've tried printing from Word, Win Notepad, Browser -- all produce blank pages. No idea what to do at this point. Seems it's not transmitting the pages (particularly since the copy function works), but can't think of anything else to do. It's an HP Envy6400 series PCL-3. Driver version 35.01.2004.8649 after reinstall.

Hi @mrFisherUSA
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
It’s frustrating when your HP Envy 6400 prints blank pages despite successfully printing test and status pages. Since the copy function works, the issue likely lies in software or driver communication rather than hardware.
Here are some steps to troubleshoot:
1. Check Ink Levels & Printhead
- Open the HP Smart app or printer control panel.
- Ensure ink cartridges are not empty or clogged.
- Run a printhead cleaning cycle via Printer Settings > Maintenance > Clean Printhead.
2. Verify Printer Default Settings
- Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
- Ensure HP Envy 6400 is set as the default printer.
- Click Manage > Printer Properties and check if the correct paper type and quality settings are selected.
3. Update Printer Drivers
- Visit the HP Support page and download the latest Windows 11 drivers for your printer.
https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/ish_1776648-1643972-16 - Install the drivers and restart your computer.
4. Disable VPN & Firewall Temporarily
- Some VPNs or firewalls may block printer communication.
- Disable them temporarily and try printing again.
5. Perform a Hard Reset
- Turn off the printer and unplug it for 60 seconds.
- Press and hold the Power button for 15 seconds.
- Plug it back in and turn it on.
