Photos printed well, then suddenly they were smeared/too much ink.  I am on instant ink and a new color cartridge had just arrived, so after diagnostics that did not find issues, nor solve the issue, I installed the new cartridge.  After running diagnostics again, I tried to print a small photo.  Same result.  The utility wouldn't let me "clean" the printheads, so I let it sit a few days.  Today it allowed me to clean the printheads, and all seemed well.  I tried another photo and it is better, but still smeared and faded.  Naturally, the warranty is up!  Any ideas?

What kind of paper are you printing on - plain paper, glossy photo paper or ???  Make sure the proper paper type is selected in the driver.  If you are printing with plain paper but the driver is set to photo paper too much ink will be put on the paper.
