Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My printer is in single cartridge mode and only prints color. I just installed brand-new HP cartridges. How do I toggle to multi-cartridge mode?  Thank you!

Is the black ink cartridge installed?

Once both the ink cartridges are installed in the printer, the printer comes out of single-cartridge mode.

 

Try making a standalone copy in black and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

 

Check the ink levels to make sure the printer is reading the black ink cartridge.

Make sure the plastic tape if any is removed from the new ink cartridge before placing it in the printer.
