HP Recommended

HP Envy 7640  Put in a new HP black #62xl ink cartridge, and the printer will no recognize the cartridge. I have cleaned the copper, re-inserted, re-inserted, re-inserted.  Performed the hard reset with removing electric cord, pressing on/off, went in and did reset in the menu. Have done everything recommended on this forum. Anything else? I sure hate to send this to clutter up landfills.
