I just purchased the HP Envy Inspire 7200e. Completed installation and it keeps giving me the error message cartridges missing. Yes I have removed the tape that was on the outside of the cartridge but still get error message.

@BusyBeeFR

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Could you please share the picture of the error message?

While you respond to that, let's try these steps:

  • Reset the printer to recover from printer errors or failures.
  • If your printer has a rechargeable battery, remove it.
  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the power source.
  • Wait 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord to a wall outlet and to the printer.
    NOTE: HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.
  • Turn on the printer to complete the reset.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
