Since an update to macOS Big Sur (latest OS), the printer produces black and white printouts that indicate clogged nozzles or something like this. The printer is only a few months old. It has been lightly used. I'm still using the ink tanks that came with it since there is plenty of the ink left. This is not limited to macOS. I also can't print anything of quality from an iPhone or iPad. I have the latest firmware. What am I missing? I'm hoping not to have to call customer service to troubleshoot issues with this printer.

Try cleaning the printhead and let me know how it goes
-
On the control panel, swipe down to open the Dashboard, and then touch the Setup
icon.
-
Swipe up on the display, and then touch Printer Maintenance.
-
Touch Clean Cartridges, and then touch Continue.
A Print Quality Diagnostic page prints.
-
Examine the Print Quality Diagnostic page.
-
If the print quality is unacceptable, touch Clean Again to continue the next level of cleaning. Repeat these steps for the third cleaning stage, if necessary.
NOTE: If the printhead is badly clogged, it might require another cleaning cycle. If so, wait 30 minutes before you perform both levels of cleaning again.
