My printer suddenly stopped printing black ink. I am using HP ink cartridges. I have tried cleaning the printer heads (by hand and via the printer), replacing the ink cartridges, and re-alignment. The color is printing normally, it is just the black ink. Please help!

I see that the printer is not printing in black. I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve this issue by performing the necessary troubleshooting steps.

 

Make sure you have tried the steps mentioned in this document - No black ink, wrong colors, other print quality issues

Print a test page to check the result.

 

Try making a standalone copy from the flatbed glass and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

 

If the issue persists even after replacing it with a new black ink cartridge, I'm afraid this is a hardware issue with the printer as you have used 2 different black ink cartridges.

Please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service/replacement options for your printer. 

You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.
