My HP Envy Pro 6455 printer will not print documents with ink. The connection appears to be fine from devices but the printer will not print ink. We’ve replaced ink, gone through all of the steps to clean, and done firmware updates. How can this be resolved?

Hi @LW1234
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
It’s frustrating when a printer doesn’t cooperate despite your efforts to troubleshoot. Let’s work through some additional steps to resolve this issue:
Step 1: Verify Ink Cartridge Installation
- Ensure the ink cartridges are properly seated in their slots.
- Check for any protective tape on the cartridges that might not have been removed.
- Confirm that you’re using genuine HP cartridges compatible with the HP Envy Pro 6455.
Step 2: Perform a Hard Reset
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
- Try printing again to see if the issue persists.
Step 3: Run Printhead Cleaning Utility
- Open the HP Smart App or printer software on your computer.
- Navigate to Printer Maintenance and select Clean Printhead.
- Run the cleaning process multiple times if necessary.
Step 4: Align the Printhead
- In the printer software, go to Printer Maintenance and select Align Printhead.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the alignment.
Step 5: Check Paper Settings
- Ensure the paper type selected in the printer settings matches the paper loaded in the tray.
- Incorrect paper settings can sometimes cause printing issues.
Step 6: Reset Printer Settings
- Access the printer’s control panel and navigate to Settings > Restore Defaults.
- Confirm the reset and try printing again.
Step 7: Test with Another Device
- Try printing from a different computer or mobile device to rule out software-related issues.
- If the printer works with another device, the problem might be with your computer’s settings.
