HP Envy Photo 7134

Hi.

Just bought a brand new HP Envy Photo 7134 printer.

 

Initially i could print some pictures decently with the factory included ink cartridge.

In the meantime, I ran out of ink (color cartridge), replaced with an original HP 303xl cartridge and kept on printing pictures just fine.

 

Problem no1.) I got the message (after replacing color ink cartridge) saying it is not compatible with Instant Ink. How can this be if it's an original HP cartridge?

 

Problem no.2) Suddenly (and the indicator of ink says it is full, so it's not lack of ink) it's starting to print everything completely reddish.

 

Problem no.3) Alignment keeps on going unsuccessful. Absolutely don't get it.

 

Unfortunately, on 21st century, the HP Support consists mainly on an automatic virtual supporter, chat based, basically like "talking to a wall" as it's pre programmed to answer standard questions/issues. To get directly on phone support (like any Customer Support department on this planet) I need to pay 19,95€ for a subscription, after buying a 130€ printer. Is this for real?!?

 

Strongly considering returning this and change brand, as it's not even a week old and it's already getting me in hassle instead of chilling and printing some quality pictures, which is its main purpose.

I understand the ink cartridges are not working fine and the print quality is not satisfactory.

 

To assist you better, is this printer enrolled in Instant Ink?

Instant Ink cartridges are different from regular HP ink cartridges. If the printer is enrolled in the Instant Ink service, HP will send you Instant Ink cartridges.

As the print quality is not good, the alignment fails.

 

To resolve print quality issues, clean the ink cartridges and print a quality page as shown in this document - Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues

 

Update the printer firmware

Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your MAC.

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

 

Try making a standalone copy in black and color to check if that prints fine. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.
