HP Insta Ink - Warning. I enrolled in this program when I bought the printer. After a few months it did not appear to be a good value for me. A few weeks after discontinuing the program, HP remotely locked my printer. After calling the support line they told me to remove the cartridges and throw them away. I cannot use my printer with their cartridges unless I enrolled again. They said I was supposed to be told of this policy before I signed up and before I discontinued. No one every told me that. Now I need to print and I cannot until I go to the store and buy two new cartridges. They said my monthly fee was a cost per page printed and not for the ink. When I mentioned that I started with 2 cartridges I paid for, there was no compromise. Take out the ink and throw it away. What a sad way to punish customers for faithfully buying your products and trying to support new programs. I have use HP for over 3 devades and right now, my faithfulness is over.
