Hello? I bought this printer secondhand. I want to order instant ink every month. I can't register my order every month because the owner is registered. What should I do?

Hi @seoming17,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

If the previous owner of your secondhand printer is still registered for HP Instant Ink, you'll need to take the following steps to enroll the printer under your own account:

Cancel Previous Owner's Subscription:

  • Contact the previous owner and ask them to cancel their HP Instant Ink subscription via their HP account.
  • Once they cancel, the printer will be released from their account, allowing you to register it under your own.
  • If you cannot reach the previous owner, contact HP Instant Ink Support and provide proof of purchase.
  • Request them to release the printer from the previous account so you can enroll it in your own.

For that to happen, we will give you additional instructions/information via Private Message.

Please check your inbox on the forums page for the private message.
