We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution. We hope our assistance has been helpful!

Error 13.14.14 on your HP LaserJet Pro 404dn indicates a paper jam or misfeed, even though no visible paper is present. Here’s how you can troubleshoot and resolve this issue:

  1. Check All Paper Paths:

    • Open all paper trays and remove them from the printer to ensure no paper is stuck in the trays or feeding mechanism.
    • Check inside the printer where the trays are inserted for any fragments or remnants of paper.
  2. Open the Printer Doors:

    • Open any access doors to check for jammed paper, particularly where the paper enters and exits the printer.
    • Be sure to check the fuser area, as paper might be stuck here, which can be a common place for jams.
  3. Inspect Rollers and Feeders:

    • Examine the pickup rollers and separation pads for any paper dust or debris that might be causing feeding issues. Clean them with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth.
  4. Reset the Printer:

    • Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes clear the error.
  5. Check for Firmware Updates:

    • Ensure that your printer firmware is up-to-date, as updates can fix known bugs or issues. You can download firmware updates from the HP support website.
  6. Inspect for Sensor Issues:

    • Sometimes sensors inside the printer can be obstructed or malfunctioning, giving a false paper jam error. Gently clean any visible sensors with a soft brush or air duster.
  7. Perform a Manual Feed Test:

    • Try feeding a sheet of paper through the bypass tray manually to see if it feeds correctly. This can sometimes clear minor path obstructions.

I hope this helps!

Take care and have an amazing day!
