Product: HP Laser Jet 5P

I just put in a new ink cartridge into my HP Laser Jet 5P printer and when I do a test page it comes out completely black.

When I put in my old ink cartridge back into my HP Laser Jet 5P printer my test page comes out completely normal – correct.

 What is wrong with the HP laser Jet 5P printer?

It's a defective toner cartridge, there is nothing wrong with the printer.
