My HP LaserJet 200 colorMFP M276nw is not working as intended. I tried to get the status of the cartridges installed and the printer says I got "used material" installed (translated from German, might differ in English). The "used material" are my three cartridges (cyan, magenta, yellow). Black is perfectly fine.
The thing is: I never ever changed these cartridges, because I seldomly do color prints. I bought the printer from Amazon as a seller, so these cartridges a perfectly original and almost unused. I did some research and I think the issue is a firmware update I did.
So how is it even possible HP marks its own cartridges as used and how is it possible to undo this? Please help.

Hi and thank you for trying to help.
So I have read the FAQ you refered, but it there is no solution for my issue.
I am sure I got genuine cartridges, because they never left the printer since purchase and were not flagged as used in the past. The printer was ordered in 2014 though.

Hi,
only the black cartridge is OK.
All color cartridges are defective. These are re-fill cartridges and must be replaced.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

I am sorry, this is no solution for my problem. You are technically telling me, that amazon is a fraud and they sold me re-filled cartridges in an newly purchased product, which I bought some time ago. The cartridges work absolutely fine.
I think it is HP's firmware messing this up and obviously there is no solution for the issue. Thanks anyway.

Hi,
read this Non-HP cyan cartridge detected and this Used <color> cartridge is installed .
If you believe you purchased a genuine HP supply, visit www.hp.com/go/anticounterfeit to determine if the toner cartridge is a genuine HP cartridge, and learn what to do if it is not a genuine HP cartridge.
Hope this helps!
