Hi all,

I have a HP LaserJet 3200 All-In-One printer/scanner device (MFG 2001)

Several weeks ago, I replaced the printer cartridge (C4092A), and over the course of the last few weeks, a vertical smudge is now appearing on the right side of the printout, and it seems to be getting worse.  (image of issue included below)

I have run the printer cleaning cycle, and cleaned the printer with a lint free cloth and compressed air.  That hasn't made a difference.

Some web search results suggested replacing the printer cartridge, so I tried the old cartridge, but the smudge appears with the old printer cartridge too. (prior to replacing the cartridge, the old cartridge did not produce a smudge).

The printer has been working well for years.  I replaced the fuser about 12 years ago, if I remember correctly.

I've web searched for additional troubleshooting steps, but haven't found helpful information relative to a 2001 HP LaserJet 3200 All-in-One device.

What are next steps for troubleshooting to resolve this print quality issue?   Any help is greatly appreciated!  Thanks!
