Hi everyone,
I recently replaced the toner cartridge in my HP LaserJet Pro MFP printer, but now it won't print. The printer detects the cartridge, but every time I try to print, it either shows an error message or just sits idle.
1. I’ve tried removing and reinserting the toner.
2. Checked for firmware and driver updates.
3. Restarted the printer multiple times.
Still no luck. Could this be a toner compatibility issue, or is there something else I should check? I made sure to get a high-quality replacement cartridge.
Would appreciate any suggestions!
Thanks in advance

Hello Val-ok
You might be experiencing firmware / toner compatibility issues. Here’s our troubleshooting tips:
1. Recheck your Printer Firmware – Some HP printers reject third party toners if the firmware isn’t updated. Go to HP’s support page and check if your printer has a newer firmware version.as HP periodically releases firmware updates that can fix toner recognition issues.
Enter your printer model and download the latest firmware update.
Run the update and restart the printer.
2. Manually Reset the Printer – Sometimes, the printer doesn’t fully recognize a newly installed cartridge. Try this troubleshooting:
A. Turn off the printer and unplug it for 5 minutes.
B. Remove the toner cartridge and reinsert it carefully.
C. Restart the printer and run a test print.
3. Original HP Toner Matters – Some third-party toner may promise you to be of high quality but still pose compatibility and hidden cost issues. Only Original HP toner cartridge can guarantee you success fixing compatibility issue when properly installed.
If you're using an original HP toner cartridge, Ensure that it’s genuine and not a remanufactured version.
If you see an "Unauthorized Cartridge" message, go to your printer settings and disable Cartridge Protection (if available).
If your toner is original but still causing issues, it may be defective. Should you need a replacement original HP toner, you can check AridMax website for your reliable supplies.
