HP LaserJet Pro MFP M28w Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello there,

I am unable to print from my My HP LaserJet Pro MFP M28w when connected to PC. I get Toner Very Low message even though i have refilled it. I checked the printer settings and it is already set to Continue Printing if toner is very low. Hp Cartridge Protection is also turned off. HP Smart App hints at clicking the OK button to override Low Toner Message but I can't find the OK button.

I can print directly through the copier function of the printer and even wirelessly through my mobile, but  not if I send  command from my PC.

 Any Help? Thankshp printer.jpg

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues printing from your computer

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you root uninstall the printer and then reinstall it and check if it helps.

Here is how it is done.

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'

6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)

8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers

13.) Restart the PC

14.) Download and install the printer software from the below link.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers as you suggested, but the problem is still there. Whenver I try to print anything from my PC, the printer goes into an error state due to low toner.

Though HP suggested to click OK button to continue printing inspite of low toner message, the thing is I can't see the OK button. The only buttons I can see are 'Get More Help' and 'Get Supplies'.

I have tried that already but the problem still persists.

HP knows the issue and the solution is seemingly there but the OK button is missing. Is there a problem with HP software or something?
