Product: HP LaserJet Pro M1212nf Multifunction Printer
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

My ink ran out but the printer doesn't recognize the replacement. I tried an HP brand and a knockoff brand cartridge but both gave me the error message "intall black cartridge". Looking forward to your suggestions about how to get the printer to recognize the cartridge and print again.

Remove the toner cartridge and inside the printer, you will see a grey rubber roller a little left from the roller is a sensor lever take a look for a piece of paper or something that might be there.
