Hello
I am having an issue with the printer not printing in color after trying to fix the ghosting at the bottom when its printing. I opened and cleaned the inside, I did not touch or clean the drum.
After assembling, its does not want to print in colour.

Hi @BonganiD,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like there might be a few potential issues causing your printer not to print in color after cleaning it. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.
- Check Ink Levels: Make sure that the color ink cartridges have enough ink. If they're low or empty, replace them with new cartridges.
- Verify Printer Settings: Ensure that the printer settings are configured to print in color. Sometimes, printers default to grayscale or black-and-white printing, so check the settings on both your computer and the printer itself.
- Clean Print Heads: If the print heads are clogged or dirty, it can affect color printing. Most printers have a utility for cleaning print heads. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to access and use this feature.
- Check Printer Drivers: Make sure that your printer drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers can cause various printing issues, including problems with color printing. You can usually download the latest drivers from the HP website.
- Inspect Color Cartridges and Contacts: Remove the color ink cartridges and inspect them for any damage or blockages. Also, check the contacts on both the cartridges and inside the printer to ensure they're clean and free of debris.
- Restart Printer: Sometimes, simply restarting the printer can resolve temporary issues. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on again.
- Perform a Test Print: Use the printer's built-in test print function to see if it's capable of printing in color. This can help determine if the issue lies with the printer itself or with the connection to your computer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
