HP OfficeJet 5252 All-in-One Printer

I print for work on this printer each week and the quality only works if its 300 dpi (for our specific software)  and each time I print I have to change the quality from default 600dpi to 300dpi and I print a  lot so this gets cumbersome.  Ink is fine, its full and I just replaced it.

I don't see anyway to default it to 300 dpi in the app.   Any suggestions or tricks?

I have found out how to change the printing to a low quality draft and keep it as default that way and it has solved the issue.
