My printer was working fine with a 63XL colour ink and a normal sized 63 Black ink. As soon I changed the black ink to a 63XL black it is coming up as incompatible ink cartridge. Please help.

@EmmaMG27, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
I understand you are not able to print as the printer is not recognizing the new ink cartridges.
Are you using HP ink cartridges?
Perform the steps from this document - HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge
Insert the old ink cartridge and check if the error persists. By this, we can conclude if the new one is a defective ink cartridge.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

If you have tried the steps and the issue persists, it could be a defective ink cartridge. Please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the replacement options.
You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.
Keep me posted for any other assistance.
