Example: OfficeJet Pro 6968

I have a HP OfficeJet Pro 6968. I have been using aftermarket ink cartridge refills no problems. I installed a new set of cartridges and a few weeks after installing and using them my printer did an automatic update. After the update it says Misinstalled Cartridge. Remove and reinsert into correct slot. As I said at beginning I had been using these cartridges for a few weeks before this happened. It happened after an update. Is HP making it so that you cannot use any cartridge but HP original cartridges?

No it doesnt help this is called monopolizing on something that should be against the law. I need to know what will happen if i do buy original HP cartridges for the printer if they will work? it is nit cheap nearly $100.00 to replace with HP Cartridges.
