I purchased this printer last year, and my experience with it has been nothing short of terrible. The XL cartridges are outrageously expensive (€200 for a full set) and have an extremely short lifespan. To avoid spending €200 every month on ink, I decided to refill the original cartridges with pigment ink. However, after the first refill, the printer blocked the cartridges and detected them as a "continuous ink system," rendering the printer unusable even with the original cartridges refilled with ink.
This is an unbelievably bad experience, and I believe there should be legal action against such practices. How can you force your customers to use only original ink? If I choose to use non-original ink or refill original cartridges with non-original ink, that should be my right, even if it risks damaging the printer. It’s simply a matter of the warranty being voided.
I've tried every possible solution I found online, including downgrading the firmware to a previous version and resetting the printer, but nothing has worked. I have been unable to print anything for 12 days, and this is severely impacting my work.
I am extremely frustrated with this situation, and I expect an immediate resolution.
