HP OfficeJet Pro 8025 All-in-One Printer

I just replaced all 3 color cartridges in my printer and now the colors are coming out weird. The test pages have blocks that are 2 colors or white pieces in it.IMG_4772.jpegIMG_4771.jpeg

Hi Jenn,

I would say it's the Printhead that needs to be cleaned.

It can be done from either HP smart app > Printer settings > Print Quality Tools > Printhead cleaning or from printers control panel, settings > Tools > Printhead cleaning.

I would recommend to check the user guide at HP website otherwise to get assistance how to run it,

It is recommended to run lvl 1, 2 and lvl 3 cleaning if that exists, it will print a print quality report where you can check the results.

Wait 10 minutes or so before running cleaning again. it will make the cleaning more effective.

There will be more inc used when running the cleaning, so please keep that in mind.

I would at least try this a couple of times to check if that solves the issue or not. If it does not get solved within the first day or so then new solution is perhaps needed.

Hi @Jenn2918,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I understand you are facing a print quality issue with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025 All-In-One Printer. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

To assist better:

  • Are you using genuine HP ink cartridges?
  • Does the copy print out the same way?
  • What's the application you are trying to print from?
  • Have you tried printing from a different application or device?

While you respond to that, let's print a Print Quality Diagnostic page -Post the Print Quality Diagnostic page here so we can help you further.

Let's perform a power drain:

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Remove the USB cable, if present.
  • Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
  • Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn on the printer and wait till the warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle

Update the printer firmware

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

I am using genuine HP ink cartridges.

I don't know what you mean by "Does the copy print out the same way?"

I am printing the dIagnostic page from HP Smart.

I posted the pages on my post already.
