I finally have a need to use my printer more intensely after gettnig years of ink shipped to me. The printer does not print BLUE (Cyan). I've tried everything.

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8035 All-in-One printer does not print cyan

 

 Here are some steps to troubleshoot the cyan ink issue with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8035:

 

  • Check Ink Levels: Make sure the cyan ink cartridge is not empty. Sometimes, even if it seems like there’s ink left, it might be worth replacing the cartridge if it’s been a while since you last replaced it.
  • Printhead Cleaning: Perform a printhead cleaning from the printer’s control panel or through the HP Smart app. This process can help clear any clogs or blockages in the printhead that might be causing the cyan ink to not print.
  • Align Printheads: Run the printhead alignment process, which can usually be found in the printer settings menu. This helps ensure that the printheads are properly aligned and functioning correctly.
  • Check for Firmware Updates: Make sure your printer’s firmware is up-to-date. Sometimes, firmware updates can resolve printing issues. Update the firmware on an HP printer
  • Inspect the Ink Cartridge: Remove and reinsert the cyan cartridge to ensure it’s properly seated. If the cartridge appears damaged or expired, replace it with a new one.
  • Print Quality Diagnostic: Run a print quality diagnostic test to see if it identifies any issues with the cyan ink. This test can often be initiated from the printer’s menu or through the HP Smart app.
  • Check for Software Issues: Ensure that you have the latest version of the HP Smart app or printer software installed on your computer. Sometimes, outdated software can cause printing issues.
  • Reset the Printer: As a last resort, you might consider performing a factory reset on the printer to see if that resolves the issue. Be aware that this will erase any custom settings.
