HP OfficeJet Pro 8035e All-in-One Printer

I have a brand new out of the box HP OfficeJet Pro 8035e All-in-One Printer. I properly installed the ink cartridges that came with the printer. Yes, I removed the plastic wrapping and the orange cover. The message came up to install cartridges and then said that they were missing or damaged. It appears to indicate all of them. We assumed that maybe the cartridges were faulty and ordered a new set of 910s. The new ones had the same problem. I shut the unit down and unplugged it for about 10 minutes. I also reseated the cartridges. I had the same results with no cartridges recognized. I am now suspecting that the printer is the issue and not the ink. I wanted to post this to see if anyone else has had a similar issue.  I did put in a ticket with HP, but always like to post on forums to get replies from other users. 

I have been in IT for over 25 years and installed countless printers and NEVER seen this before.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,

I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue. If you have already performed the steps from the document Ink cartridge errors: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04100778 and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.
