I have a HP OfficeJet Pro 8100, model N811a. The cyan ink cartridge went dry, so I replaced it with a HP 951. At first it showed full but then the cartridge light started blinking and the HP utility said the cartridge was damaged. In the meantime, another cartridge, which had been fine suddenly showed dry. I replaced the yellow cartridge. It showed fine and then the cartridge light started blinking. I tried to reset the printer with instructions I found on a Google search. Resetting did not solve the problem. The cartridge lights continue to blink. In the mean time I replaced the magenta cartridge even though the current cartridge showed ink still present. That cartridge was recognized and no blinking cartridge light for magenta showed. No other lights (including the on/off button light) are blinking.
Any idea what is going on? I really like this printer and now I have invested heavily in new ink cartridges on a printer that looks like it may have gone south on me.

Hi @LDsailor,
If you have already performed the steps from the document Ink cartridge errors and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.
Please reach out to HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
