Hello,
I am having a problem re-loading new ink cartridges into my printer. I have a HP OfficeJet Pro 8730 and after replacing the old cartridges with new ones, I am getting an error message that says "Do not use SETUP cartridges". I do not have the old/original set up ink cartridges. I am simply trying to replace the ones inside the printer because 2/4 ink cartridges have low ink. What can I do to bypass this error message?? I have tried re-starting by unplugging both the power cord connected to the printer and the power outlet but that did not work. I even went ahead and updated the software. What do I need to do to get the printer to work again?
PLEASE HELP!!!
Thank you!

Are the cartridges you are installing Oem or 3rd party or refills? Could be the cartridges have the setup chip on them, or someone sold you setup cartridges.

I would take it up with Staples, they have obviously sold you a refill that used a startup cartridge. This is their problem and does not have anything to do with HP.

Also, please notice that the error says "Do not use SETUP cartridges" and not the opposite, meaning it detects the cartridges as Setup and not the opposite...
Also, can you see all 4 cartridges indicated following the error? (K=Black, Y=Yellow, C=Cyan, M=Magenta) or any specific one?
