Hello! I was gifted a HP Officejet 4620 recently. I was able to print with it a few times successfully, and then it began to run out of ink. I wasn’t able to replace the cartridges until recently, and so it’s been unused for about 2 months. Today I replaced the black ink, because it was showing as nearly empty on the printer; and unable to print any black ink on the reports.
Still, however, it was unable to print or copy any black ink. So, I bought new cartridges for all the colors, after reading the ink could have dried up. However, I’m still having the same issue.
I have tried many solutions including; replacing all ink cartridges, carefully dusting the cartridges and where they go in the printer, taking out the cartridges and putting them back in, restarting the printer (by unplugging and via the power button), and several cleaning cycles. When I attempt an alignment, it says that it cannot sense the paper on the scanner (second step) and so that is the only thing I haven’t been able to do successfully.
Please help! I just spent about $100 replacing all the ink today! I would hate for that to have been a waste... thank you so much!!
