HP Recommended
Product: HP Officejet 6978

doesn't print black in the alignment page, or any of the built-in maintenance pages. Will not copy in black, other colors work.

 

I followed all suggestions in HP's documentation recommended and found here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-officejet-pro-6970-all-in-one-printer-series/8289585/model/1....

 

Consequently, I have now replaced the cartridge with another new cartridge, and I finally replaced the printhead. Still, all colors print, but no black.
