Hi @MAQ4,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing an issue with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8024 is experiencing an issue with print quality, specifically with color alignment or nozzle clogging. Since you've already replaced the cartridges and cleaned the printhead, here are some additional troubleshooting steps to help resolve the problem:
1. Perform Advanced Printhead Cleaning
- Access the printer's maintenance menu on the touchscreen or control panel.
- Select Tools > Printer Maintenance > Clean Printhead.
- If you’ve done this before, try the Advanced Cleaning option. This uses more ink but can clear stubborn clogs.
- After cleaning, print a Print Quality Report to check if there’s improvement.
2. Align the Printhead
- On the control panel, go to Settings > Printer Maintenance > Align Printhead.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the alignment.
- Test the print again to see if the alignment issue is resolved.
3. Check the Print Settings
Ensure the settings match your project requirements:
- In your print dialog (from your computer), select Properties or Preferences.
- Confirm:
- Paper Type matches your sticker paper.
- Quality Settings are set to Best or Photo Printing.
- Disable any grayscale or black ink only options.
4. Inspect the Printhead Nozzles for Damage
- Sometimes physical damage can occur.
- Remove the printhead (if removable) and inspect it under good lighting for visible damage or dried ink.
- If you notice damage, the printhead might need replacement.
5. Update Printer Firmware Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Outdated firmware can cause color printing problems.
- Download the latest firmware for your printer from the HP Support website.
- Install it and check if the problem persists.
6. Test With a Different Document
- Print a different color document to rule out issues with the original file.
- If possible, try using another computer or device to print.
