HP Officejet Pro 6978 printing on HP Photo paper, constantly a problem !

  I have got lines on paper so I clean everything over and over no help, color reeks of red this time but I've had different colors come out before.  I hear, clean the printers heads , so I do that; then I hear do printer and cartridge maintenance so I do that, no difference then I do alignment, no difference; then I hear change cartridges, expensive but I do that, no difference.  What next before I throw this piece of crudola out the window?

Second Entry from Fergie5:  Now I can't print a good enough Alignment page for it to print from.  The blues wont print out correctly, so I took that cartridge out, shook it, cleaned the heads again and still got the same thing.  ARRRRRGGGGG!

I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve the issue. If you have already performed the steps from the document Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

 

Please reach out to HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
