I am having issues with print quality and printing- this started about the time I received a message I may have received a faulty cartridge from HPs print program, but has become worse in the last weekend two. Today and yesterday- no black ink despite my cleaning the print head multiple times (usually if I get to three times it will work which is obvious a pain.) Last week it was blue and yellow and sometimes black. At this point I am thinking I need a new printer. I purchased it in 2017. 

 

I have changed out the cartridges, cleaned the print head almost every time I have used it in the past couple weeks, aligned it, run a report (comes out mostly blank).

Apologies for the inconvenience. I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve this issue by performing the necessary troubleshooting steps.

 

There was an issue with the new lot of HP 902 Cyan and Yellow ink cartridges for this model printer and they were recalled. If the Cartridge was manufactured in Malaysia and the Warranty End Date is between April 1st, 2022 and September 18th, 2022, please do not use this ink cartridge.

 

Please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the replacement options for the ink cartridge or to check its availability. 

You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.

 

Also, check if the printer/ink cartridges are eligible for a replacement. Refer to -  'Incompatible' or 'Defective Cartridge' message
