I replaced the Yellow cartridge yesterday with a new, sealed, genuine HP 955XL yellow cartridge. Upon installation, it was detected by the printer as genuine hp cartridge.
The next day, Printer says “Printer Supply Problem” and “Used HP cartridges”.
I already followed the troubleshooting steps I found here so far:
1. Hard reset
2. Put the old cartridge, wait, install the new one
3. Remove the new cartridge, unplug printer, plug and turn on, put new ink
The problem is not solved. In addition, all the other inka with some ink still was detected as “continuous ink” so I had to replace them as well.
I bought a new yellow ink cartridge today to rule out defective cartridge or to be able to use the printer already if the previous new cartridge was really defective. After installing the second cartridge, same problem. I did the troubleshooting as week.
The problem is still not solved.
We have replaced our ink cartridges many times already since 2017 but this is the first time this happened.
Can anyone please help? Thank you.
