HP Officejet Pro 8710 HP953 cartridge's not compatible with it

Hi I have 2 HP Officejet Pro 8710 that I brought with me from the USA since was moved to London and when I checked with HP they suggested I use HP 953 cartridges but they are not working. It says not intended for this printer!!

I checked the previous cartridges and they were 952. No 952 to be found. I found some on Amazon but the price of the black cartridge is 125 UK pounds for the regular one and do not know if they are fake!!!!

Very strange situation especially knowing how HP is usually a major brand.

I would appreciate a feedback on what to do please.

Hi,

You would need to contact HP Support in the UK to reset your printer to accept the local cartridges for Europe.

Ensure you have a full set of genuine HP 953 cartridges available and then follow the below guidelines to contact HP Support, be sure to clearly clarify that you have moved with the printer from another country:

I hope I can resolve this issue if not HP will loose one of the oldest HP 100% person on printers.

Will call them tomorrow.

Thank you again for your help but I think I am going to give up on HP finally.

There is no one answering any of there numbers in the UK.

I think I will try to order 952 cartridges from the USA if not will buy another printer locally.

The HP chatting support is extremely poor.
