I changed my color cartridge today on my HP Officejet pro 7740 -
Printer gives and error: Old generation cartridge although I know it is the right cartridge. It might be that I bought several cartridge 1 or 2 years ago to have spares.
Can HP send me a new cartridge for free or tell me how I can bypass the message in order that I can use this cartridge?

- Are you sure this is an HP genuine ink cartridge?
- Validate this by clicking here - HP Anti-Counterfeit and Fraud (ACF) Program
If this is a genuine HP ink cartridge, I would need some information related to the ink cartridges and the printer which cannot be shared on a public post for security reasons.

Hi,
Thanks for your response. Checked for counterfeit - cartridges are legit. Tried to click the private message link, response is "access denied". Cartridges are Sep 20, printer is Officejet Pro 7740.
