I purchased this printer direct from HP about 3 weeks ago. I needed it to print mainly A3 coloured prints. This printer quality is shocking - white lines showing throughout colours and patchy blacks. I have completed alignments, cleaning etc and even had help from HP Support who (eventually) sent me a replacement. This arrived today. I've set it up and got going and before I printed anything coloured, I completed alignment/cleaning again. It seems this printer is just as bad, if not worse! I have tried to attach the photo of the most recent print but this screen won't let me. I'm at a loss and I'm frustrated! Can anyone suggest anything please? TIA

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If you are experiencing print quality issues such as blocky lines, white lines, and patchy blacks with your HP Officejet Pro 9730e Printer, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem:
Printhead Status Check:
- Check the status of each printhead using the front panel.
- Navigate to the printhead status menu to determine if any printheads require attention or replacement.
Printhead Alignment and Cleaning:
- Perform printhead alignment to ensure proper calibration.
- Conduct thorough cleaning of printheads to remove any clogs or dried ink residue.
Image Quality Print Test:
- Use the Image Quality Print test to identify specific issues with color bands and media advance problems.
- Analyze the test patterns for defects and follow recommended corrective actions.
Printhead Recovery:
- Conduct printhead recovery procedures if any printheads need recovery.
- Replace printheads if there is no improvement after recovery.
Calibration and Media Handling:
- Perform accuracy calibration using the same printing material with which you experienced unacceptable image quality.
- Check media advance calibration and ensure that you are using HP-supported printing material.
Software and Driver Settings:
- Verify that you are using the correct driver settings for your printer. Non-HP drivers might cause print quality issues.
- Adjust settings in your print software applications if necessary.
Take care, and have an amazing day!
