Hello!
I've never had issues with my HP Photosmart 7520 printer until recently when I went to replace an ink cartridge. These ink cartridges were genuine HP ink cartridges.
- I replaced all of the ink cartridges.
- I have cleaned the cartridges on multiple occasions.
- I have attempted to align the cartridges which led to an error message of, "Cartridges set to default quality."
- I have cleaned the printhead manually.
- I updated the firmware on my printer to the most recent (2018) update.
Does anyone have any experience similar to this and have any advice to offer?
I appreciate any help!
Thank you!

To update: I followed the directions indicated by the Virtual HP Agent and now my printer is experiencing a printer/print system failure.
It instructs me to power off and back on. The error message persists.
My printer is now even less functional than it was before.

Same thing for me. Black ink wasn't printing. Followed the virtual assistant's instruction, and many steps later, cleaned cartridge print head. (I found caked on ink.) Cleaned following direction. Still no luck. Now it's stuck in an infinite loop cycle and printing less than before. "Pinter Failure. There is a problem with printer or ink system. Turn printer off, then on. If problem persists, contact HP." Seems like it won't align, but I follow the direction. Shut down, and try again. "Printer Failure. There is a problem with printer or ink system. (No kidding.) Turn printer off, then on. If problem persists, contact HP." Can't contact HP, but I can access the virtual agent, who got me in this position in the first place. 18 hours later, I'm frustrated to the max. UGH!
