Product: HP OfficeJet Pro 8139e

I have been having connectivity problems with my printer. It is showing "ready" but not communicating with my computer. We believe this is a network issue, as it will work intermittently once the router has been restarted. As a result of this issue, I have installed and run HP Print and Scan Doctor. This is how the test page is coming out (see picture). I have clicked on the "clean printhead" and "align printhead" buttons, but nothing happens. It reprints the next Test Page the same way. Regular documents are printing fine without the lines (when not having network problems). Has anyone had this issue before or know how to fix it?

@NTD83, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Assign a Static IP Address to the Printer:

From the printer’s touchscreen: Settings > Network > Advanced Settings > IP Settings.

Choose Manual (Static) and set an IP outside your DHCP range (e.g., 192.168.1.240).

Update Router Settings:

Log into your router.

Reserve that IP for the printer's MAC address in the DHCP reservation table.

Reset Printer Network Settings (if still unstable):

On the printer: Settings > Network Settings > Restore Network Settings.

Reconnect the printer to Wi-Fi via Wi-Fi Setup Wizard.

Try Printing via USB Temporarily:

Just to confirm it's 100% a network issue and not driver-related.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
