HI! I have had the HP Smart Tank 530 since November 2021. When the black ink bottle was just half way full it kept asking for it to be refilled. So I refilled the black ink tank. Ever since then I keep getting error messages that the print cartridge is not compatible. However this unit does not take cartridges, it uses ink bottles.
This is very frustrating, as kept turning the printer on and off and sometimes lucky it then starts to work. Now it refuses to work. Please help as I work from home and need my printer to be operational at all times, which is crucial to my business as a realtor.

I understand that you are getting cartridge error, I am glad to assist you.
Perform a power reset , Reset the printer to recover from printer errors or failures.
- Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Wait at least 30 seconds.
- Plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet and printer without any surge protector.
- Turn on the printer.
Update the printer firmware to install the latest updates
