I have a HP Officejet Pro 8710 that I bought around 7years ago. Yesterday I was adjusting my preferences and other settings from LCD of the printer and accidentally pressed Semi-Full reset. Now the printer is asking me to insert the setup cartridges that came with the printer. I haven’t kept them from 7 years ago. The message to insert setup cartridges on LCD is locked and will not allow me to do anything. 

what should I do now? It’s a good printer and I just spent $235 on new ink cartridges.

Welcome to HP Support Community!

 

To bypass the message on the printer the only option left is to perform an OOBE reset and re-initialize the printer. 

 

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

 

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer. 

 

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Support Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.

I am sorry but I don't see Private Message icon on the upper right hand corner, next to my profile name. I click the link in your message to go to the private message page and it says page not found.

 

I think I pressed semi-full reset and need to do factory reset but don't know how to get to that page.

I don't see any private message icon next to my user name on top right corner. I click on the link in your message to go there but I get the following page not found error message. 

 

Is there any other way that you can send me the instructions how to reset using OOBE? Am I allowed to give you my email address to email me the instructions?
