lid is very stiff and creaky when attempting to open, and refill ink

Thanks for reaching us out.

Note : Please don’t attempt to force the lid if it sticks.

 

>>Power Off & Unplug:

Always turn off the printer and unplug it before working on the lid.
This prevents accidental damage to sensors or internal components.

 

>>Inspect for any dried ink residues, debris etc.

 

Contact HP Support who can direct you on the next course of action over a phone call/Remote session.
