So, background information:
Printer: HP DeskJet 3755 All-in-One
Laptop: MacBook Air - OS Monterey 12.2.1
I have updated my OS, updated the HP Smart app, and updated the printer firmware. I also reset the printer and restarted my machine.
The print issue is blurry black text. It’s almost like slight double vision, you can see right next to the darker text a lighter grey version of the same thing. The print diagnostic page confirmed that alignment is the issue.
When I tried to start the alignment *from the Print Quality Tools tab in the sidebar*, the first time, the alignment page printed immediately, but nothing else happened. No prompts to enter the information shown on the sheet.
When I try to restart it from the same place, I get this message:
“Another alignment is already in progress. Please wait for completion, and try again later, or see printer control for more information.”
The alignment page successfully prints, but it does not prompt me to enter the feedback required to complete the alignment. I don’t know how to trigger this to happen.
I don’t know what “print control” is or how that will help in this case. I have literally 12 successfully printed alignment pages but nowhere to enter the information to complete the alignment.
Alternatively, the HP Smart app allows me to start an alignment from the Advanced Settings tab in the sidebar. When I try to do it here, I get this message:
“Alignment Unsuccessful: The alignment process was unsuccessful. Make sure you have loaded unused, plain, white, A4- or Letter-size paper and try again.”
I have loaded exactly that. And the page has printed successfully multiple times. I’m at a loss.
Someone please help me. This printer has not been used nearly enough to justify the cost so I would love to get our money’s worth before tossing it. Where can I find a page to enter in the print alignment information??
