Hi - I infrequently use my Tango (once every couple of months), but when I do, the black cartridge needs replacing each time. The diagnostics show the cartridge is nearly full -- which makes sense because I haven't used it, but when I print, the black ink is often spotty or non-existent. Even after running the Head Cleaning & Alignment tools several times, the black cartridge doesn't come back to life. I also tried cleaning the cartridge per HP's directions, but it also doesn't work. The only way to get things moving again is install a new black cartridge.
While I would love to say this was a one time occurrence, today makes it the 3rd time I'm needing to replace a nearly unused black cartridge with a new one.
Any recommended solutions? Having cartridges go "stale" is frustrating, not mention, a waste of money.

Hi @ILLRobinson,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.
I see that you are facing an issue with printing on your Printer.
As you rarely use your printer to print and when the printer is not being used for a long time.
The ink in the cartridge might dry due to which you will see a few print quality issues when you print or you might face an issue where there is no ink on the paper.
The best way to avoide the ink from drying in the cartridge is to use a air tight container to store it when ever the printer is not being used regularly.
Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a great day ahead!
