Hello, my printer has been working for a while, and then suddenly it starts creating like a shadowy offset of whats already been printed at the bottom of each page. It doesn't seem to matter which OS I'm using.
Please see image.
Actions I've already tried:
* Clean the printer as per your support pages suggest.
* Factory reset.
Same issue

What could be the cause of the problem and how do I fix it?

Hi @Muhammad8888 ,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It's unfortunate that you're experiencing printing issues with your HP Color Laser MFP 179fnw. The shadowy offset you're describing could be caused by various factors. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
Check Toner Cartridges: Ensure that the toner cartridges are properly installed and not empty. If a toner cartridge is low, empty, or improperly installed, it can affect print quality.
Inspect the Imaging Drum: The imaging drum may be a component separate from the toner cartridge. Check if it's in good condition and properly seated.
Check for Paper Jams: Even a small piece of paper stuck in the printer can cause print quality issues. Open all doors and trays and carefully inspect for any paper jams or debris.
Calibrate the Printer: Many printers have a calibration or alignment process that helps ensure accurate printing. Check your printer's user manual for instructions on how to calibrate it.
Update Firmware/Drivers: Make sure your printer firmware and drivers are up-to-date. Visit the HP support website to download the latest firmware and drivers for your printer model.
Inspect Fuser Unit: The fuser unit may be causing the offset issue. Check if it's properly installed and not damaged. If it's a user-replaceable part, consider replacing it.
Print a Diagnostic Page: Print a diagnostic or test page from the printer itself (refer to the user manual for instructions). This can help identify if the issue is with the printer hardware.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
