I am at my wits end with my inkjet printer. This is my second go round with this HP Envy Photo 7855. Both times have been absolute disappointments and of course the disappointments occur AFTER the year-long warranty expires.
No matter how many times I clean the printheads, buy new HP cartridges and realign the printheads, what comes out of the printer is madness to say the least. Nothing has helped and I'm absolutely tired of talking to Customer Service (who has never been of help and even harder to understand -- they would rather sell me another printer than to help me with my current one). I used to be HP kind of girl. Swore by this brand. No more wasting of my money. Time to throw out this printer, never look at HP again and start looking at other brands like Brother and Canon.

Hi @SiriusSista, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP ENVY Photo 7855.
I'm sorry you're dealing with these ongoing issues with your HP ENVY Photo 7855. It can be really frustrating when you've done all the troubleshooting steps and still can't get the printer to perform properly.

Since you've already tried cleaning the printheads, replacing the cartridges, and realigning the printheads, here are a few additional steps to consider:

Check for Clogged Nozzles: Even after cleaning, some ink nozzles can remain clogged. You can run the printer’s nozzle check from the printer settings to see if some of the colors are missing. If it shows missing colors, a more thorough cleaning may be required.

Use Print and Scan doctor:
1. Please download HP print and scan doctor using this link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/help/printscandoctor#downloadModal
2. Run HPPSdr.exe from the download location on your computer.
3. Once HP Print and Scan Doctor is open, click Start, and then choose your printer.
4. If your printer is not listed, turn it on and click Retry.
5. If there is a connection problem, follow the instructions in the tool.
6. Click Fix Printing

Update Firmware: Check if there's a firmware update available for your printer. Sometimes, these updates can address bugs or improve print quality.
Try a Different Paper Type: Sometimes, the paper you're using might be the culprit, especially if it's not compatible with the printer's recommended types. Try using high-quality paper to see if it improves the print output.
Check for Residual Ink in the Printer: Sometimes ink residue can accumulate inside the printer, affecting print quality. Carefully check for ink buildup around the printhead and the paper path.
Reset the Printer: As a last resort, you could try a full reset of the printer to return it to factory settings. This can sometimes clear any lingering software issues that might be affecting performance.
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution. We hope our assistance has been helpful!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
