Trying to figure out what the problem is with our printer only printing on 2/3 of the page and the 1/3 is blank. The print and no print is along the long side of the page. I removed the fuser and the roller and material on the one roller all looks intact. There are no jams, we tried a different print cartridge but that did not change the issue. Anyone have any suggestions?

@7Reggie77, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Printing Issue on HP LaserJet Pro MFP M428fdw!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Based on your description, where 1/3 of the page is blank, this issue can be due to several reasons. Here are a few steps to troubleshoot this problem:
1. Check Print Settings:
- Ensure that the page orientation and paper settings are correct in the printer properties. The mismatch between the paper size settings and the actual paper might cause such issues.
2. Inspect the Toner Cartridge:
- Even though you have tried a different print cartridge, ensure the toner cartridge is properly seated.
- Check for any defects or issues with the toner cartridge roller. If the toner cartridge is fine, consider reinstalling it and then printing a test page.
3. Clean the Printer:
- Sometimes dirt and debris on printer components can lead to printing problems.
- Clean the printer's fuser area, paper feed rollers, and output rollers using a clean, lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled water. Avoid using alcohol or chemical cleaners.
4. Printer Firmware Update:
- Ensure that your printer’s firmware is up to date. Outdated firmware can sometimes cause print quality issues. Visit the HP support website to check for any available updates.
5. Printer Calibration:
- Perform a printer calibration if the option is available. This helps in adjusting the print heads and aligning them properly.
6. Reset the Printer:
- Try performing a hard reset on the printer. Disconnect the power cord while the printer is on, wait for about 15 seconds, reconnect the power cord, and then turn the printer back on.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
